So summer's over and the kiddos are heading back to school on Monday. It was a wonderul summer at work, I spent alot of time sun bathing by the pool as I watched kids splash in the water. So needless to say I sort of look like a Mexican as tan as I am. :) As the kids head back to school on monday I will embark on a new journey. I was asked to take over the 3 year old room at work and be their teacher. Im really nervous because there is a set curriculum and we have alot of activities to do with them. The 3's are a fun age, but it's going to be challenging to teach them things everyday, because as you all know their attention spans are very short. Hopefully things will work out fine and I will turn out to be a pretty good pre K teacher, but still Im very nervous.

Time for an update
I just realized that it has been forever since I updated this thing and so much has happened. Oops! Here goes a little run through of what's been going on.
April 20th I started a new job at Comfort Experts/ Hobson's heating and Air as a sales person. My job was as one of those annoying telemarketers who call you home and ask you if you want your systems tune up. I decided that job wasn't for me at all and I wasn't making the money I needed so I quit after working there for almost 2weeks. That job was so stressful and I came home almost everyday stressed out. Im so glad I quit. Finally after a couple of weeks of searching, this time in the daycare field because most of you know I have a love for taking care of kids. Finally in the middle of May I started at a daycare in Weatherford. At first I was what they called a floater, I helped out in all of the rooms whenever they needed me. That was a little stressful because when you are dealing with younger children they definetaly don't like change and it was very hard for them to get used to a new person in their room. When summer started and the older kids were out of school I started working with them. I take care of school age kids(age 6-12) everyday, in the mornings we go to the owners personal pool at her home and swim, so basically I am getting paid to sit in the sun and watch the kids swim. Im pretty sure it's the greatest job ever besides the fact that I can't swim with them, but hey Im getting a pretty nice tan.(I almost look mexican. LOL) Travis and I decided to take a trip to Kerrville for our birthday's it was so nice to get away for the week. It's really pretty down there too, but we were both a little sad that most of the water activities weren't open yet. One day we decided to drive into San Antonio to go and see the Alamo and walk the river walk. We ended up buying a new wave runner in June, last year while Travis and I were on one of our camping trips, we took mom and Mark's wave runners with us and one of them ended up breaking down, well come to find out it was a blown motor and it was going to cost $3000 to fix and it was an 01 so he decided no way was he gonna fix it. Instead Travis and I bought a brand new 09 Waverunner and traded mom and mark our half of the boat for their one working Waverunner. We have had so much fun on the waverunners, being that we live so close to the river, he and I go after work alot and just ride and cool off.

Planting the garden
Tuesday after my interview we decided to go ahead and plant our garden at mom's house. WE didn't do it at my house because our ground is solid rock!!! For weeks we have been nurturing seeds that we had planted in little dixie cups and they were finally ready to be planted in the yard. Lucas and Alexis were both so excited that it was time to plant the seed in the garden because Alexis had picked out some watermelon and pumpkin seeds that she was anxious to get planted in the ground and ready to see them grow. Most of their time was spent just playing in the sand, however Alexis did help out with coving the seeds occasionally. They were both so funny though playing in the dirt and they will be even more excited once the plants start producing vegetables. We ended up planting a lot bigger of a garden than we did last year. We planted, okra, tomatoes(like 3 differnt kinds), bell peppers, bannana peppers, jalepenos, lettuce, green beans, cucumbers, cantaloup, garlic, onion, watermelon, pumpkin, cilantro and a few other herbs. Hopefully our garden will produce as much as it did last year or maybe even more.

Easter
This year I was sort of bummed when I found out that I wasn't going to be able to color eggs with the kiddos. We had it all planned out to color eggs with Alexis, but she got sick and decided that she didn't want to do them. So my friend Keisha and I got the bright idea that she and I were going to color eggs because we both hadn't done it in years and neither of us have kids to do them with. We had quite a fun time coloring eggs and writing silly little messages on them.
For Easter day we spent it at mom and Mark's house with Grandma, Mark, Sundi, Kevin, their 3 kids, Stacie, her two kids, Josh, Keisha, Daniel, and Travis. We ate a nice big Lunch of meat that Travis smoked at home on our smoker. After we ate we spent the afternoon outside playing games. We jumped on the trampoline and showed some of our mad skills(lol), then we decided to play some volleyball with a soccer ball. Yea so the soccer ball probably wasn't the best idea, but it worked. Anyways we had a very enjoyable day just hanging out with great people.

I found a job
I just wanted to let everyone know that after almost a month of searching and finding nothing I finally found a job. I ended up getting one interview over the phone with a chiropractic company, but I didn't get the job because I didn't have enough experience as a receptionist. :( Anyways almost a week later I was called by another company and I had an interview on Tuesday and then was asked back again for a second one of Wednessday and I was hired. It is a AC company called Comfort Experts Hobson's heating and air conditioning here in Weatherford. My job will be calling people in WEatherford and asking them if they want to get their AC units tuned up. UGH Im not really sure how I am going to be at this whole sales thing, and I will probably cry the first time I get hung up on, but regardless I am thankful that I have found a job. I hate that I am going to be one of those annoying people who call other's people's houses and waste their time, but hey I need a job and this is the only one available to me at the moment. I guess GOD has his reasons for placing me with this company and I hope it all works out and that I will enjoy it. Im not too happy that I will be working everyother weekend, especially with the summer months approaching, but this summer we wouldn't be able to go to the lake every weekend anyways since my mom is doing the flight attendant thing. Thanks for all of yall's prayer and support, I really appreciate all of you.

Today is my last day as a nanny and my emotions have been running high all day! I had to be at their house at 7:45 because the youngest didn't have school today and all of the other kids were at sleepovers. It was very hard having to see my boss for the last time because you could tell her emotions were crazy as well being today is also her last day at her job. After she left the house she sent me a very sweet text message, because she knew if she told me to my face we would both start crying. I still cried when I read her words because for so many years she has been like family to me, almost like a second mother really. Anyways the waterworks have been with me on and off all day and I can't even imagine how bad they are going to be when it's time to actually say goodbye tonight as I leave the house and say goodbye to the kids and lock the door for the last time after doing it for over 10 years. These kids have been a part of my life forever now and I treat them as if they were my own. WOW as I type this Im already crying, it's hard!!!! Today has been fairly relaxing though, I just have one kid right now and he and I have spent the day playing games on the XBOX and we even went out to lunch together, which was nice.
Still no word from any of the jobs I applied for, Im keeping my fingers crossed that someone, anyone, will call and offer me something. PLease continue to pray that I will find something soon.

Frustrated
Ok so as many of you know I lost my job and this thursday will be my last day. :( My emotions have really been getting the best of me lately, not only and I not looking forward to saying goodbye to a family that I have been a part of for so long, but I am also annoyed by not being able to find a job. I have been searching and applying for anything and everything that I qualify for in order to try and find a job ASAP, but I have had no luck! One of the places I applied for emailed my boss and asked for a reccomendation and I thought that was good news, but I still haven't heard anything back from them so who knows? It's so frustrating not being able to find anything with as many businesses as there are out there, but this economy is so crappy right now that most businesses are doing anything and everything to hold on to the employees they do have. Which makes it that much harder on anyone who is jobless to find a job. UGH! I am really worried that no one will call me back and i will be left looking for a job, which means Travis will be out there busting his butt and doing everything he can to provide for us. It's scary not knowing what's going to happen and not knowing what's next? Please pray that someone will call me back soon with a job offer because I am really starting to get stressed.
